Throughout his career Lenny Kravitz has been heralded as quite the style icon and most recently he played a stylist in his latest acting role in 'Hunger Games'. Now it looks like the artist has taken his interest in fashion that little bit further, as it emerged today that he has collaborated with Toms on a special summer collection.
The partnership came after Kravitz met the brand's founder Blaky Mycoskie two years ago where the pair instantly hit it off. When asked to come on board, it was actually Kravitz's daughter, actress Zoe, who reportedly convinced him to get involved. The collection is everything you would expect from him. Unlike Toms' partnership with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, this collection is all about bright colours and comes printed with phrases like 'Let Love Rule'.
Christian Louboutin's 20th anniversary is the celebration that keeps on giving. The past few weeks has seen the brand host several key initiatives to mark the big milestone and last night the fun continued.
Barneys New York hosted a cocktail party for the brand, in conjunction with the big reveal of the Louboutin window display taker over, which was attended by everyone from the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to Virginia Smith and Calvin Klein.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have been busy lately. After launching their new business venture Style Mint earlier this month, the pair launched their new handbag line for their fashion brand The Row at Barneys this week.
The nine piece collection features a selection of clutches and crossbody bags as well as a much talked about crocodile black backpack coming in at a whopping $39,000. Despite the high price, Barneys confirmed that two orders have already been placed for the luxury piece. “I think if you were every going to spend $39,000 on a bag, that’s the bag you should buy because I think you’d wear it for a really long time,” Amanda Brooks, fashion director at Barneys, explained. “There’s enough design to make it interesting and beautiful but they truly are classic bags–and I think you also might be the only one who has it.”
