Simon Fuller, who already backs Victoria Beckham's clothing collection and, as of August, owns a majority stake in London's Storm modelling agency, was thought to be involving the former Posh Spice in his New York modelling agency plans.
However, rumours have since been squashed following a statement from her spokesperson: "There is absolutely no truth in the story regarding Victoria Beckham and Simon Fuller opening a modelling agency in New York. Victoria is concentrating all her efforts on her fashion line and her family." But we're not convinced, and neither is London according to the gossip flying around. Watch this space.

Madonna is fast becoming serious competition for established models worldwide, following her scoop of two major ad campaigns this year alone. First was the Louis Vuitton campaign, which saw the ultra limber pop star striking some seriously elegant poses whilst maintaining her sultry pout. Yes we were envious! And even more so now. She is currently starring as Dolce and Gabbana's new spring ad campaign, which was shot in Brooklyn (New York) last weekend, by Steven Klein, and saw Madonna sporting the duo's Sicillian inspired collection.
The shoot must be have been truly enthralling as Stefano Gabbana couldn't resist post up-to-the-minute tweets, one of which read, "We are at the last shot... M [Madonna] is simply beautiful" and "we're very, very tired but happy as well...To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true."

So we'll admit it, we're addicted to social networking just like the next good fashionista. We can't help but follow our favourite designers on Twitter, and upload all of last night's fabulous soiree photos onto Facebook. Then came the nightlife inspired Gucci Eyeweb site, and now Burberry are making social networking the height of fashion, with Art Of The Trench.

Model of the moment Gemma Ward has been M.I.A. for the past few months. Counting the likes of Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Prada and Christian Dior, to name but a few, as previous clients, we were a bit surprised when the model and actress unexpectedly 'fell off the fashion radar'. That was, however, until today, when the 22-year-old model came out of hibernation to celebrate her birthday, which she shares with none other than Anna Wintour. Ward was photographed in New York's East Village with a couple of friends dressed in navy high-waisted shorts and a striped, nautical-inspired top, teamed with an on-trend leopard-print coat. We just wonder what a supermodel who ranked tenth in Forbes' 2007 list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Models will be getting for her birthday? Jealous?

There is no doubt that since MAC burst onto the makeup scene back in 1984, they have made a dramatically credible impact on the fashion industry. Not only do they provide high quality makeup to the very best artists for shows and shoots, their professional advice can be accessed through their stand alone stores, along with their expert products. As if offering us the best cosmetics, industry secrets and the artists to teach us how to emulate the latest beauty trends is not enough, MAC produce striking limited edition collections - with collaborators ranging from Zandra Rhodes, to Hello Kitty, to Dame Edna Everage - and even feed further back into the industry with their proactive involvement in both London and New York Fashion Weeks, to name a few. Could we ask much more of a makeup brand? We think not, as we take a look back at their involvement in the Spring Summer 2010 collections...

After appearing on Ugly Betty’s “A Nice Day for a Posh Wedding”, back in 2007, and saying that she only agreed to the part because of her interest in fashion, and not for the acting opportunity, Victoria Beckham now looks set to land another role on fashion-focused American TV series, Gossip Girl. Apparently, Beckham, who is a huge fan of the series, was persuaded to make an appearance by the show’s star Blake Lively, who in turn is a huge fan of her outfits, when she and the show’s costume designer, Eric Daman, stopped by at her spring 2010 presentation in New York last month. Talk about mutual love!
A source said: “She isn't an actress and wanted her role to be very tongue-in-cheek. And an idea for her to play Brit actor Ed Westwick's long-lost mother was quickly vetoed. Victoria joked that she'd rather play his ex-love interest!" Posh will fly to New York this Wednesday and hopes to film all the scenes for her cameo appearance in a day.
