Naomi Campbell Is Looking For The 'Whole Package' On New TV Show, The Face

Back in May Oxygen confirmed that they had bagged Naomi Campbell as a mentor on their new model competition, The Face, and with the open calls in New York and L.A. coming up soon, they've started to give the show a big push.

Talking about what she's looking for from the open calls, Campbell said:

I'm looking for contestants who have the whole package — a beautiful face; healthy, toned body; unique look; interesting personality; confidence; and, above all, strong work ethic and drive. ... Most importantly, I'm looking for a model with a fearless spirit who can completely transform like a chameleon, and take you on a unique journey that makes you believe that even the impossible is possible.

Will you tune in when it hits the air?

Naomi Campbell Booked To Judge A Modeling Competition Show

Despite many people not watching for years, producers at 'Amercia's Next Top Model' have only just realised that the show needs a make-over to get people interested. Unfortunately for them, they've left it so long because they now have competition. Yesterday Oxygen, the show's network, confirmed that they are broadening their horizons in the modelling reality show stakes and are already working on a new franchise. Interestingly, Naomi Campbell has been booked as the main judge on the show.

Anyone that watched 'The Tyra Banks Show' will remember that episode where Tyra Banks confronted Campbell about feeling bullied by her in the earlier years of her career. Oxygen's decision then to put Campbell in the same position in a different show then is far from a coincidence is an undoubtedly aimed at garnering a buzz around the show. According to the release, Campbell is one of the three supermodels judges on the show, titled The Face. The premise of the show is no different to ANTM apart from the fact that the models on the new show will be scouted by the judges respectively and join their teams.

Do I think we need another modeling competition show, well no, but will I tune in - yes. Will you?

Get Ready For Taylor Jacobson's Return To The Small Screen

Taylor Jacobson was my favourite personality on 'The Rachel Zoe Project'. While I'll always have a soft spot for Brad Goreski and his penchant for bow ties and impromptu shopping sprees on the show, Jacobson was no doubt the most interesting character on the program. After a few years hiatus from the world of reality TV she's finally back and is currently gearing up for the premiere of 'LA Style', a new show airing on Oxygen that she's involved with.

As I previously reported, the show follows the lives of four young up-and-coming stylists as they try and make their way to the top in celebrity styling. At the show's launch party this week Jacobson said that you can expect to see more than celebrity dressing from the show. '[The show] portrays a younger generation of stylists, in different genres of styling,' she told Fashionista. 'It’s the making of a music video; editorials–it’s not just straight up red carpet, like a couture dress with Neil Lane jewelry,” which is perhaps a dig at her former boss Rachel Zoe.

That aside, Jacobson was also clear that she wants to use the show as an 'opportunity to clear my name and kind of break off from [my Rachel Zoe Project persona]' and that makes sense. As you'll recall, her departure from Rachel Zoe Inc. was followed by accusations of her stealing from the company. 'I want to show how I'm a stylist, and be known for being a stylist.' When asked Brad she said: 'We're friends. We support each other, I think he's super talented and I wish him the best of luck.;

Are you as excited as I am?

I'll Be Keeping the Hair Thanks

Nobel Peace Prize......winning America's Next Top Model. Getting a Nobel Peace Prize.....winning America's Next Top Model.

That was the 'tricky' choice Oxygen TV put to women aged 18 to 34 in a recent poll. Is it bad that I'm swaying the America's Next Top Model side? What is happening to us these days?

In more alarming news, the poll showed that as many as 25% of the women participating would not shave their hair to save someone's life. Now that is bad.

What do you think?
