Yesterday Pink was revealed as the new face of CoverGirl. The singer announced the news by posting her an image from her campaign on her Instagram account before attending an event in Santa Monica where she posed with the campaign.
Their choice couldn't be better. The singer has always been advocated being unapologetic about who you are and that's something Cover Girl have always celebrated with their choice of spokespeople. Compared to other beauty brands they've never opted for obvious people (except for Rihanna, of course) and have worked with everyone from Drew Barrymore and Ellen DeGeneres to Sofia Vegara and Queen Latifah so Pink feels like the perfect addition to the family.
'Joining a group of women who have always inspired me - to laugh out loud, left my guard down, or play around with my beauty look - is such an honor,' she said in a release. 'I have a lot to celebrate. I called my new album 'The Truth About Love,' and the truth is that I have my beautiful family and baby girl, my new music and now my partnership with CoverGirl to love,' and they love her too. 'Pink is a powerful and proactive role mode,' CoverGirl vice president Esi Eggleston Bracy, said. 'We love the energy and confidence she radiates, and the fact that inside and out she's as cool as she looks. She's an awesome addition to our CoverGirl family.'
There's not many brands that Karlie Kloss has not worked with. The 18 year-old has starred in campaigns for everyone from Dior to Aquascutum and now she's lending her face to Victoria's Secret.
These images from the brand's latest catalogue show the Chicago, Illinois native sporting their youthful Pink line. The diffusion line has a segement in the brand's fashion show so could that mean that Kloss could get a set of wings?
Grammy fashion, overall, was just as skintight and shiny as usual for 2010 - with the exception of Lady Gaga-inspired futurism and a few classic evening looks, a la Taylor Swift and Nicole Kidman. The evening saw Fergie hit the red carpet in electric-blue Pucci, Keri Hilson sport a fishtail-style Dolce & Gabbana gown, and Jennifer Hudson wear Victoria Beckham, to name a few.
Who wins your award for best-dressed of the night?
Tonight's MTV Video Music Awards, held at New York's Radio City Music Hall, provided quite the range of dress codes. From Lady Gaga's usual follow-her-own-drummer wear to Taylor Swift's mega-formal gown, the stars came out in, well, whatever they felt like.
Some of our favourites for the night were Whitney Port, Amerie and Nicky Hilton. What do you think?
