Hamish Bowles And Mickey Boardman Want To See Marc Jacobs At Dior

When I heard the rumours that Marc Jacobs is set for Dior, I didn't take them seriously but after Anna Dello Russo confirmed the reports to Fashionista this week, it looks like their might weight to the speculation after all. Whether true or not, Jacobs definitely has support from the industry if he were ever to decide to jump ship to the brand.

“I love it," Mickey Boardman told The Cut of the rumours at the Cynthia Rowley show. "I heard that rumor that Marc was going there, and that Phoebe Philo was going to do Celine and Louis Vuitton, and I think that would be amazing ... originally I thought I'd hate for him to leave Louis Vuitton because he's done such a genius job there, but then Hal Rubenstein mentioned to me it would be amazing for Marc to do couture...I totally support Marc Jacobs for Dior. Tell Mr. Arnault that I say that.." And Hamish Bowles was complimentary of the alleged move too. "I think that [Jacobs's] work is so referential in an exciting way, he can take a reference and do something intriguing with it, so it would be exciting to see him unleashed on such an astonishing archive as that house," he said.

Is YSL Looking To Replace Stefano Pilati?

If you're a designer and don't want fashion folk to start talking, don't miss your own party it seems. This is perhaps what someone should have told Stefano Pilati this week as he's been the centre of a round of speculation regarding his position at YSL after he failed to attend the Metropolitan Opera Gala this week.

According to Daily Front Row, many have speculated that his absence was the result of the bosses at the brand feeling disatisfied with his work over te last few seasons. To make matters worse, the site alleges that during Paris Fashion Week retailers expressed their concern that although the brand's accessories sell well, their ready-to-wear line is struggling. The fact that the brand is a big sponsor of the event only intensified speculation that the bosses are already in the midst of searching for a replacement.

However, the brand's spokeswoman was quick to quash rumours: "He was busy with current work on the collection as well as the advertising campaign," she told the site.  YSL CEO Valérie Hermann was quick to protect him and continue the rumour control at a recent dinner: “Finally, Stefano Pilati, YSL’s creative director, has asked me to convey how sorry he is not to be able to join us tonight, and sends his very best wishes from Paris, where he is busy with the coming collection, “ she said. “Somebody still has to work in this company.”

But as The Cut points out, considering the lacklustre response to his last few collections for the house, is it a surprise that he's swapping parties for the drawing board?

Kanye West Not Designing For Gap

After much speculation, Gap designer Patrick Robinson has squashed rumours that Kanye West has been interning with him and has a line for the high-street retailer in the works.

Yesterday morning he said: "He's not my intern! He's a friend of mine, and he just likes to see what we do. I tell him, if he wants people to take him seriously in fashion, they have to see blood first! They have to see the blood and the sweat, to see that he really wants it — but he definitely has the capability."

Jourdan Dunn Confirms Pregnancy

News of Jourdan Dunn's pregnancy left many people speculating whether this is simply a rumour. However, fellow model Sessilee Lopez expressed her good wishes for her friend on The Fashion Spot this week after the news was announced.

Still don't believe us? This week Dunn officially confirmed to Vogue UK that she is in fact five and a half months pregnant by her long-term boyfriend and is due in December. "I'm really looking forward to the future and having my baby," she said. "I'm lucky — I'm feeling really well. I'm healthy and happy!"

Although we won't see Dunn on the runway in September, her agency have made it clear that we can still expect a lot from her after the pregnancy.

Adriana Lima Expecting Her First Baby

Being pregnant is the new black. Adriana Lima's publicist has confirmed that the Victoria's Secret model, aged 27, is expecting her first child, rumoured to be due this winter. Lima married NBA player Marko Jaric this February in a civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming - which 'Boy Meets World' fans will recognise as Feeny's chosen place of retirement. A clever pick!

Lima's news comes as rumours swirl that Gisele is expecting, and it's already common knowledge that Heidi Klum is carrying her fourth child. Seemingly, baby fever is in.

Lauren Conrad Collection on Pause

In more statements from celebrities today, Lauren Conrad took to her Myspace blog to squash rumours that her clothing line is completely over.

"A lot of people were under the impression that my line was being discontinued or had been dropped. This isn't the case at all. The truth is, I was the one who asked to take a couple seasons off."

If this is the case and it was not the result of poor sales at retail, I completely understand her quick defense. However, the Shakespeare saying, 'The lady doth protest to much' springs to mind' or am I just being too cynical?
