'The September Issue' Is New York's Fifth Biggest Documentary

The documentary revealing a realistic look at the inner workings of American Vogue and its Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, opened in New York last weekend. 'The September Issue' made $240,078 in six cinemas, for an average of $40,013 per screen, making the documentary the second-best film per cinema on average of any 2009 release, according to indieWIRE. It also makes it the fifth-best documentary debut in New York’s history.

Anna Wintour, who we presume has seen the documentary countless times over, waited in-line, dressed in dark denim skinny jeans, beige flat loafers, sunglasses and a Fashion's Night Out T-shirt, to buy a ticket for the film alongside everyone else.
