We’ve found a sneak preview of Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2010 campaign, featuring our favourite toothy Dutch model, Lara Stone. Last month, Daniel Lalonde, Vuitton’s President and CEO, described Stone as “ very fresh and someone who embodies a lot of the values of the brand, and a lot of talent and a lot of beauty”. And it looks as though the ads, which trade magazine WWD labelled as “New Age”, are following suit with a fresh and natural feel. The theme couldn’t be further away from Steven Meisel’s mannequin-esque Madonna shots in Vuitton’s ‘burlesque’-coloured Autumn 2009 campaign.
“After two seasons with such a huge star, [artistic director] Marc [Jacobs] decided to take a breather and work with a model — and not just any model. It’s the choice of a new supermodel,” Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s Communication Director, said to WWD as he unveiled a campaign slated to break in February fashion titles. “She clearly has a Brigitte Bardot look.”
