Get Ready For Taylor Jacobson's Return To The Small Screen

Taylor Jacobson was my favourite personality on 'The Rachel Zoe Project'. While I'll always have a soft spot for Brad Goreski and his penchant for bow ties and impromptu shopping sprees on the show, Jacobson was no doubt the most interesting character on the program. After a few years hiatus from the world of reality TV she's finally back and is currently gearing up for the premiere of 'LA Style', a new show airing on Oxygen that she's involved with.

As I previously reported, the show follows the lives of four young up-and-coming stylists as they try and make their way to the top in celebrity styling. At the show's launch party this week Jacobson said that you can expect to see more than celebrity dressing from the show. '[The show] portrays a younger generation of stylists, in different genres of styling,' she told Fashionista. 'It’s the making of a music video; editorials–it’s not just straight up red carpet, like a couture dress with Neil Lane jewelry,” which is perhaps a dig at her former boss Rachel Zoe.

That aside, Jacobson was also clear that she wants to use the show as an 'opportunity to clear my name and kind of break off from [my Rachel Zoe Project persona]' and that makes sense. As you'll recall, her departure from Rachel Zoe Inc. was followed by accusations of her stealing from the company. 'I want to show how I'm a stylist, and be known for being a stylist.' When asked Brad she said: 'We're friends. We support each other, I think he's super talented and I wish him the best of luck.;

Are you as excited as I am?

Demi Moore Replaces Rachel Zoe With Brad Goreski

This week a source revealed that Demi Moore has parted ways from her long-time stylist Rachel Zoe and has hired the stylist's former assistant Brad Goreski. This marks the second time one of Zoe's clients that have swapped her in favour of one of her former assistants - last year Kate Beckinsale notably hired Taylor Jacobson.

"Brad is dressing Demi for the Oscar parties, and he also dressed her at Sundance," a source told the New York Post. "Rachel is furious. Brad assisted her in styling Demi. Now she feels betrayed."

Update: Brad Goreski And Rachel Zoe Part Ways

Today Rachel's Zoe's right hand man, Brad Goreski, announced that he's moving on and going alone from next month.  But don't worry, the split was amicable. “I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know," Goreski told People. "But there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.” Despite having a messy split, Taylor Jacobson is now styling Kate Beckinsale since leaving Zoe so I think it's safe to say that Brad will be okay.

Update:

According to popeater.com, the split was actually far from amicable. A source allegedly told the gossip website that, "Brad was sick of doing all the work while Rachel got all the credit," a fashion insider tells me. "While Rachel feels used by Brad. She feels as if she taught him everything and the second he got a chance to leave her high and dry he did."

As the website points out, this is a far cry from what the pair have said since the announcement was made. "He did this with such class and elegance," Zoe told People magazine, with Brad adding, "I hope she'll continue to teach me more and more."

Taylor Jacobson Opens Up About Going Solo, With No Bad Words On Rachel Zoe

Whether it really is a publicity stunt or not, Rachel Zoe's recent outburst on her former employee Taylor Jacobson has sent rumours flying. While Zoe is seen bitterly saying "The last thing I want to hear is something good about Taylor," on the preview for her Bravo reality show, it seems Jacobson is doing quite well for herself, to spite Zoe.

Dealing with the rumours can't have been easy, but since leaving her position as Zoe's right hand girl, Jacobson has successfully set up her own business, gained a credible list of celebrity clients and reeled the work in on editorials and even a Nickelodeon television promo. In an interview with The Cut, she speaks about self employment, the latest trends and gives advice for wannabe stylists, with not even a bad breath of her ex-boss. We congratulate you, Jacobson, for your professionality.

Kate Beckinsale Hires Taylor Jacobson As Her New Stylist

In another twist to the Rachel Zoe - Taylor Jacobson saga, last week it was revealed that Kate Beckinsale has hired  Zoe's former assistant as her personal stylist. According to reports, the actress' wardrobe at the Cannes FIlm Festival was all down to Jacobson. As Beckinsale was a former client of Zoe's it looks like this drama is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

Rachel Zoe Reveals All About Her Rift With Taylor Jacobson

For months we've all been speculating what happened between Rachel Zoe and her first assistant Taylor Jacobson after the assistant dramatically left the stylist at the end of the second season of 'The Rachel Zoe Project'. Despite the show suggesting that she left because she wanted a new challenge, Page Six claimed that the rift was caused by Jacobson stealing samples. It doesn't stop there. As we previously reported, Zoe has been said to have tried to black list Jacobson's name to prevent her getting access to samples.

Zoe has since refused to comment but has finally decided to break her silence this week. When asked by WWD whether the theft rumour was true she said, "That was so real that I cannot even tell you how real that actually was. It was like, I hired Brad [Goreski], this little angel, and then Taylor just went in for the kill. And I, like, did not see that coming. I always knew what she was capable of, but who knew that was going to happen with the camera?" And it didn't stop there. When asked whether she is still in touch with Jacobson she said, The answer to that would be: I would love to tell you but I would have to kill you. You'll see it on season three [of The Rachel Zoe Project, premiering Aug. 3 on Bravo]." Just in case she didn't make it clear enough that she's not interested in what Taylor is doing she said, "The last thing I want to hear is something good about Taylor."

Something makes me think that this could be a publicity stunt to plug the new season but maybe I'm being to cynical.

A|X Armani Exchange Hire Taylor Jacobson

In the last couple of months Taylor Jacobson has been talking about an exciting new project she's been working on. Today it was revealed that the ex-Rachel Zoe assistant has been brought on at A|X Armani Exchange in their first concept store on Robertson Boulevard as their visual consultant and fashion expert.

“I was inspired by the idea of ‘seasonless’ dressing," she said. "I wanted to embellish on the key essentials we all have, and build on them using chic separates, layering pieces, and statement jewelry to achieve a look that is eclectic and effortlessly stylish, and transitions seamlessly from day to night.”

Was Taylor Jacobson's Departure From Rachel Zoe Ever Going To Be Amicable?

When Taylor Jacobson - an integral member of Rachel Zoe's celebrity styling empire - parted ways with the super stylist in November (having worked with her for the past four years), we had been led to believe that her departure had been amicable. Now we hear that an inside source can confirm that it was anything but. In short, immediately after Jacobson had drafted a letter informing her colleagues and PR contacts of her imminent departure, Zoe set out to throw a spanner in the works.

Taylor Jacobson Leaves Rachel Zoe

We die (although most people could probably see this one coming). Taylor Jacobsen, who's worked with Rachel Zoe for the past four years and featured on Bravo's 'The Rachel Zoe Project', is no longer with Rachel Zoe Inc. Sources claim she was fired, though a rep for Zoe would only say that she's left the company.

Jacobson often butted heads with Zoe and her coworker Brad Goreski, and she had stated on the show that she felt unfulfilled with her career. She wrote on her Twitter account: "Today is an end of an era and a beginning of a new professional chapter. Looking forward to what the future brings...!!!"

There's no word about how this will affect Zoe's reality show, but we can only hope it's just as bananas as ever.
