In the fashion industry, editors are our celebrities. We look to them for inspiration for what we should be wearing now and what we will be wearing in the future. After all, they have the most innovative, successful designers of our time at their fingertips.

Jill and I experienced firsthand the power of the editor this season at the shows. “It’s her. It’s her,” said Jill, referring to a platinum-blonde haired woman standing opposite South Kensington station one fashion week morning. No, we didn’t just spot Gwyneth Paltrow or Madonna, as passers by thought due to our excitement. It was actually style director Kate Lanphear from ELLE US.
